Study: D&C 68-69; Teachings of David O. McKay, ch. 11, 9
68:4 – All those “whose mission is appointed” to speak (vs. 2) shall become the voice of God when filled by the spirit. “Voice of God” is not just reserved for one prophet, but for all prophets—and God wants as many as will accept the responsibility.
68:28 – What are some possible meanings of “walk uprightly before the Lord”?
- Confidently, without guilt
- Happily, with a high countenance (unlike Cain, whose countenance fell with his sin)
- Honorably
- Confident of true identity as Son/Daughter of God
- Bold and trusting and forthright with God
