I have listened with great pleasure to PRI's The World: Technology Podcast (WTP) since 2007. The episodes are typically about 30 minutes long and cover a wide range of topics from around the world. Unlike many other netcasts focused on technology, the Tech Pod focuses more on people, societies, cultures and how technology impacts them.
Clark Boyd is the primary host of WTP. He is a soothing host. The tone of the episodes is informal and personal. Most importantly, he is relatively impartial. His biases are slight and unobtrusive—much better than The Engines of Our Ingenuity and Science Friday. I often find myself pondering his topics for days afterwards.
This netcast is secondary to his radio work for PRI. As such, it is often overlooked in the podcasting world. Check it out!
