Free Entrepreneurial Lectures From the BYU eBusiness Center

While studying at the BYU Marriott School of Management, I made an effort to attend the Entrepreneurial Lecture Series as often as I could. These lectures are presented by various men and women who share their success stories, or tips for advancing entrepreneurial activities. The lectures are usually very good, and I felt bad when I missed them. In fact, I wished I had access to previous years'.

Well here they are, and more. In my last year at the school, I found this portion of the school website dedicated to archiving these lectures.

The Kevin and Debora Rollins Center for eBusiness hosts the Entrepreneurial Lectures and other important recorded events.

This is not a complete list as some lecturers decline to be recorded or to provide slides. But there are lots of good presentations and great tips for budding entrepreneurs. There are static and dynamic presentations as far back as 1999, with the oldest videos in 2002. I recommend searching for all topics, which returns a complete list in reverse chronological order. Start at the top with the newest and work backwards.

Some of the topics include:

  • Accountancy
  • Basics
  • Biometrics
  • Consulting
  • Customer Service
  • Dot-com Crash
  • E-Commerce
  • Education
  • Employment
  • Entrepreneurial
  • Finance
  • Fraud
  • Future of E-business
  • Human Resources
  • Information Technology
  • Insurance
  • Legality
  • Local E-business
  • Marketing
  • Revenue Models
  • Security
  • Strategy
  • Telecommunications
  • Wireless
  • XBRL

For those of you who feel so inclined, you can browse the source directories and grab whatever files you want for your personal video device.

It's too bad that the Center doesn't provide a netcast ("podcast" is trademarked by Apple) of these lectures. Maybe I'll talk to them about that. Unless there is a licensing restriction with the lecturers, a netcast would really be nice.
